This all started when a Facebook group called "Let's find the world's Welsh" took off. Welsh people from all over the globe joined in and started to share their feelings, recollections, experiences and views. It quickly became exciting and fun.
We all enjoyed the Facebook experience (still do!) but there are some things you just can't do in a group there, such as advance your career, exchange information about an international lifestyle, find people who aren't on Facebook and so on.
So GlobalWales has been set up, currently in "Beta" form. That's an excuse for not having all the features working. But most are and the rest are soon to follow. You can already post your CV so that potential employers can find you. You can join Groups, make "Connections" (Friends), upload stuff, connect to your original Facebook or other network profile, and run your own blog. There's a lot more on its way that will make GlobalWales one of the most exciting places to be on the Web.
